Sundays 9:00 am Channel 27-2 WKYT
It is requested that all children under the age of five stay in our nursery
so there will be no distractions during the preaching of the Gospel.

Precious Saviour, friend of sinners
We, as such, to Thee draw near
Let Thy spirit dwell within us
With that love that casts out fear.

Matchless Saviour, let us know Thee
As the Lord our righteousness
Cause our hearts to cleave unto Thee
Come, and with Thy presence bless.

Open now Thy precious treasure
Let Thy Word here freely flow
Give to us a gracious measure
‘Tis Thyself we long to know.

Come and claim us as Thy portion
Let us all find rest in Thee
Leave us not to empty notions
We would find our hope in Thee!

(Tune: “Jesus Calls Us” p. 374)

“He that hath a froward heart findeth no good: and he that hath a perverse tongue falleth into mischief.” - Proverbs 17:20
“Lord, save me!” A three word prayer that is always needed. It is not a one-time prayer. As long as I still commit sin I have reason to pray this prayer. It is what I am saying when I pray, “Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.” I need to be saved from the temptation to sin, the commission of sin, the penalty of sin, the power of sin, the pleasure of sin, and from the evil of sin. And I have this encouragement in praying this prayer. “Thou shalt call His name Jesus. For He shall save His people from their sins” (Matt 1:21).

I believe that our thoughts of God are reflected in every part of our worship service. What part will the preaching of the Word of God have in the service? Will the Truth of Christ and His saving work be the message? Are the hymns that we sing such that glorify God? Are the words true to Scripture? Are we faithful to join with God’s people? Do we come on time? Do we dress appropriately?
We do not set rules, and would never want to say anything that would keep anyone from coming to hear the Gospel. However, we live in a time when everyone wants to be casual; but there is nothing casual about the worship of God Almighty. - Milton Howard

I would not be an Arminian for the world, because I am not only willing but happy in getting more and more into Christ’s debt. All in heaven are only pensioners. They take all from Him in use, and carry all back to Him in praise. God teach us this heavenly lesson. Although I have learned but little, yet I would not be saved in any other way than by sovereign grace; for only by this can I find employment in oneness with God, or happiness in God. All is grace! All is debt! The sense of this keeps one humble.
- William Romaine

If the possession of heaven could be obtained with only a single act of goodness, never to all eternity should I find it. “When I would do good, evil is present with me.” Oh! Then for grace to know Thee, to love Thee, to follow Thee, as my only good; my hope, my righteousness, my portion for ever! Amen! - Robert Hawker

God is completely sovereign over all of the free uncoerced actions of men (Prov. 16:1, 9, 33). Do I understand how? No. Do I believe that? With all my heart!
“Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith.”
Hebrews 10:22
Assurance of salvation and a saving interest in our Lord Jesus is NOT A FEELING cultivated by thinking good thoughts and doing good deeds. Paul calls it “Full assurance of faith.” It has to do with faith, with BELIEVING GOD! Assurance is born of CONFIDENCE IN THE FATHER as our covenant God; “Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him.” Assurance is born of CONFIDENCE IN THE SON as our God and Saviour; “By His stripes we are healed.” Assurance is born of CONFIDENCE IN HIS PROMISES, “Abraham was fully persuaded that what God had promised, he was able also to perform.” So your assurance of redemption is not enhanced by the MORE YOU WORK, but by the MORE YOU TRUST AND REST IN HIM. “Let us labor therefore to enter into THAT REST (Hebrews 4:11).
- Henry Mahan

If you trust Christ as your Lord and Savior, your faith in Him is the fruit and evidence of His grace bestowed upon you and wrought in you. Faith is the empty hand that receives God’s salvation, not the mighty arm that performs it. Faith in Christ is the result of eternal life bestowed, not the cause of life. - Don Fortner

If God the Holy Spirit sprinkles your heart with the blood of Christ, if He will apply the blood to you, you will look upon Him you have pierced and mourn. Miracles will never penetrate your hard heart. Judgments will never break your heart. Tornadoes, hurricanes, floods, and earthquakes, though ever so frightening, will never penetrate the heart of a sinner. Affliction will never break it. The law, with all its threats and curses, will never break the heart of man. Hell itself cannot break the rebel heart of men. But the blood of Christ can. - Don Fortner

Election is not the cause of anybody going to hell, for election is unto salvation (II Thess. 2:14). Neither is non-election responsible for the damnation of sinners. Sin is the thing that sends men to hell, and all men are sinners by nature and practice; sinners altogether apart from election or non-election. It does not follow that because election is unto salvation that non-election is unto damnation. Sin is the damning element in human life; election harms nobody. - C. D. Cole
