Sundays 7:00 am Channel 27 WKYT
It is requested that all children under the age of five stay in our nursery
so there will be no distractions during the preaching of the Gospel.

Brethren, let us join to bless
Christ our Peace and Righteousness
Let our praise to Him be given
High at God’s right hand in heaven.

Son of God, to Thee we bow
Thou art Lord and only Thou
Thou the woman’s promised seed
Thou, who didst for sinners bleed.

Thee the angels ceaseless sing
Thee we praise, our Priest and King
Worthy is Thy Name of praise
Full of glory, full of grace.

Thou hast the glad tidings brought
Of salvation fully wrought
Wrought, O Lord alone by Thee
Wrought, to set Thy people free.

Thee, our Lord, would we adore
Serve and follow more and more
Praise and bless Thy matchless love
Till we join Thy saints above.

(Tune: “When I survey the Wondrous Cross” p. 118)

“Happy is the man that feareth always: but he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief.” - Proverbs 28:14

“In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man
did that which was right in his own eyes.” – Judges 17:6
This was given as the reason Micah permitted idolatry along with the worship of Jehovah. If I do that which is right in my own eyes; it is certain to be wrong because my vision is skewed. The only thing or things that are right are the things that are right in God’s eyes. His perspective is the only one that is valid and the only one that matters.

There is a very wide gate, easy to enter, that leads to a very spacious road with many on it that leads to destruction. There is a very narrow gate with a narrow road full of affliction with just a few people that leads to life. Which one am I on? Which one are you on?

The first thing the Lord said after exhorting us to enter the strait gate was “Beware of false prophets.” They come dressed as sheep but they are wolves. You will know them by their fruit, their doctrine, and their life. Their converts will reveal what they really are. If I follow a false prophet, I will have the doom of the false prophet.

I recently went to an auction where there was a triangle dinner bell for sale. The auctioneer began to ring it again and again. After a few seconds, I must confess that it got a little irritating and monotonous as it rang the same note over and over. Not several notes, not two notes, but the same note again and again. When he stopped and the auction proceeded, I realized, that is exactly what God’s preachers do week after week. They sound clearly the one note of the Gospel, Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Has that one note become irritating and monotonous to you like the dinner bell did to me? I bet that dinner bell was a sweet sound to those who were hungry and called to dinner by the sound of that one note. “And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb” (Rev. 19:9). - David Eddmenson

“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and forever.” – Hebrews 13:8
I am so thankful that as I grow older and things change, inside and out, that there is One who never changes.
1. His love never changes with time, for He loved me with an everlasting love that knows no change.
2. His power never changes. He is just as able to keep me from falling today as when I first began.
3. His Word never changes: “God is not a man, that He should lie; neither the son of man, that He should repent: hath He said, and shall He not do it? Or hath He spoken, and shall He not make it good?” (Numbers 23:19). Has He not magnified His Word above His Name? 4. His election of me shall never change. He will never cast off those whom He has chosen, for they will never do anything that He did not know about and has not already taken care of. 5. The power of His blood shall never change. It still cleanses from all sin. No matter how deep the stain has gone, His blood washes it away. 6. His Sacrifice will never change, it will never lose its effectiveness because it is always fresh in the midst of the Throne of God: “And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain…” (Rev. 5:6). We have a living sacrifice standing in the midst of the Throne of God. When we rise out of our beds in the morning and go through our changes, just remember that there is One who remains the same yesterday, today and forever: The Rock Christ Jesus. – John Chapman

“Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in His sight: but all things are naked and open unto the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.”
Hebrews 4:13
Christ, our Lord, is omniscient. There is no creature, angel or man but what is known to Him and seen by Him (John 2:23-25). He knows unbelievers, He knows false professors, and He knows His sheep (John 10:14). There is not a thought, an imagination, a motive, a work, or a deed that He does not know. It is all uncovered and opened to Him with whom we have to do. Christ the incarnate Word and Christ the revealed and written Word will be dealt with by every creature. Believers have to do with Him now as our Prophet, Priest, and King. We have to do with His righteousness, His blood, and His intercession! Unbelievers will have to do with Him in that great day (John 5:22; 12:48-49). – Henry Mahan
