Sundays 7:00 am Channel 27 WKYT
It is requested that all children under the age of five stay in our nursery
so there will be no distractions during the preaching of the Gospel.
A mind at perfect peace with God
Oh! What a word is this!
A sinner reconciled through blood
This, this indeed is peace!
By nature and by practice far
How very far from God!
Yet now by grace brought nigh to Him
Through faith in Jesus’ blood.
So near, so very near to God
I cannot nearer be
Yet in the person of His Son
I am as near as He.
So dear, so very dear to God
More dear I cannot be
The love where with He loves the Son
Such is His love to me!
Why should I ever careful be
Since such as God is mine?
He watches o’er me night and day
And tells me Mine is thine.
(Tune: “When I Can Read My Title Clear” p. 497)

“He that rebuketh a man afterwards shall find more favour than he that flattereth with the tongue.” - Proverbs 28:23
I have never said, nor will I ever say that Todds Road Grace Church is the only church in Lexington that preaches the Gospel. I could not say that unless I had attended every church in Lexington and heard their message. But I do say that a church that does not preach the Gospel of God, the Gospel of the Scriptures, the Gospel of grace, the Gospel that declares the electing Work of the Father, the redemption of the elect by the Son, the regenerating Work of the Spirit on those the Father elected and the Son redeemed, is not a church in the first place. A church that shuns to declare the whole counsel of God is not a church, nor should it be called one. The issue is what it has always been: What is the Gospel? How does the Bible define it?
IF FREE WILL IS TRUE
The belief that most people hold that God loves everybody, but He has given man a free will, and cannot save a man unless that man, of his own free will, decides to let God save him - if that belief is true….
1. The Scripture are mistaken when they describe man as dead in sins.
2. God is not sovereign. His will is subject to man’s will.
3. Praying to God for the salvation of sinners is a mistake. We should be praying to men to use their will to let God save them.
4. Salvation is not dependent upon God, but man.
5. Man gets a portion of the credit in salvation.
6. Salvation cannot be said to be 100% of grace.
7. Man’s will is the key that unlocks the grace of God. Grace cannot work unless man turns the key.
8. God’s will has no say in the ultimate destiny of the sinner. In reality, God’s will is meaningless in the salvation of the sinner.
9. The will of man controls his destiny.
10. The death of Christ was at best a gamble, dependent upon the will of man, and in reality a failure, because men He died for are lost anyway.
11. The security of the believer hinges on his will.
Thank God, free will is not true! “It is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy” (Romans 9:16). The believer prefers Free Grace over free will.
Salvation by grace is a doctrine that is true, must be preached, and should be believed. But, like the doctrine of God’s existence, just believing that salvation is of the Lord and by His grace does not save! This grace must be experienced in the heart and received by faith! I will never get across a river by simply believing that a certain bridge can take me across, or that others have been successful in using it. I must experience the bridge’s deliverance and power. Depravity it not a doctrine to the redeemed, it is an experience. Christ the Savior is not a doctrine to the redeemed: He is the One who had delivered us! - Henry Mahan
The Gospel of God’s grace in Christ Jesus is not a thing to be proved, but Truth to be believed. It is not submitted to our reasoning powers as a subject for critical examination. The Gospel is a MESSAGE FROM GOD, addressed to the conscience, feelings, and affections. For this reason, men fond of argument and proving everything by strictly logical deduction generally make very poor preachers. In the Scriptures, God does not argue, He proclaims! - J. C. Philpot
I do not come into this pulpit hoping that perhaps somebody will of his own free will return to Christ. My hope lies in another quarter. I hope that my Master will lay hold of some of them, and say, “You are mine, and you shall be mine. I claim you for myself.” My hope arises from the freeness of grace, and not from the freedom of the will. - C. H. Spurgeon
Never is a man in his right man until he is converted, nor in his right place until he sits by faith at the feet of Christ, nor rightly clothed until he has put on the righteousness of Christ. - J. C. Ryle
