Sundays 7:00 am Channel 27 WKYT
It is requested that all children under the age of five stay in our nursery
so there will be no distractions during the preaching of the Gospel.

Sovereign grace o’er sin abounding
Ransomed souls the tidings swell
‘Tis a deep that knows no sounding
Who its breadth or length can tell
On it’s glories, let my soul forever dwell.

What from Christ my soul shall sever
Bound by everlasting bands
Once in Him, in Him forever
Thus th’ eternal covenant stands
None shall pluck me, from the strength of Israel’s hands.

Heirs of God, join heirs with Jesus
Long ere time its race begun
To His name eternal praises
Oh! What wonders love hath done
One with Jesus, by eternal union, one.

On such love my soul still ponder
Love so great so rich so free
Say, while lost in holy wonder
Why, O Lord, such love to me
Hallelujah, grace shall reign eternally.

“The discretion of a man deferreth his anger; and it is his glory to pass over a transgression.” - Proverbs 19:11

“Turn Thou us unto Thee, O Lord, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old.” – Lamentations 5:21
Jeremiah felt as though he had turned away from the Lord and he could not turn himself back toward the Lord. You pray about what you have no power to perform. You pray for what only God can do. So he prayed that the Lord Himself would turn him toward Himself. He felt an oldness to his faith and love. It was not in the present, but somewhere in the past. So he asks that he might be renewed. It is actually a blessing of grace when you see you have turned away and cannot turn yourself back. It is a blessing when you see you are living off past faith rather then a faith that is present. That is what will make you pray this prayer of personal revival, “Turn Thou us unto Thee, O Lord, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old.”

“Study to be quiet.” - I Thessalonians 4:11
The word “study” means…make it your aim; make it your ambition. This is something the believer is commanded to pursue! Make it your ambition….to be quiet. Yes, that is the command of the text. This word is also translated “hold your peace.” What a blessing it would be to ourselves and to others if we would learn when not to speak. Most of the problems I have had in my life have been the product of me saying something when I would have been far wiser to be quiet.
The word quiet is also translated “rest”. It is a peace that arises from within. Really believing God is on the Throne, really believing that Christ is all that is needed for salvation – the quiet soul enjoys rest and peace.
This is something for every believer to pursue after and strive for. “Study to be quiet.”

We read Galatians 3:22-25, and see the saving faith that is given, that comes, to every believer…and we believe we are completely justified by faith. But I want to read these verses and everywhere the word “faith” is used, read “the faith of Christ”, because I believe His faith is what is referred to in these verses. Notice it starts in vs. 22 – “That the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.” Then continue on with this faith of Christ, the next three verses (vs. 23-25) read like this….“But before the faith of Christ came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith of Christ which should afterwards be revealed. Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster unto Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ. But after that faith of Christ is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.”
The faith of Christ came to this earth, the faith of Christ obeyed God’s law perfectly and loved God with His whole heart, mind, body, and soul – thereby establishing a perfect righteousness by which we are justified. Read Galatians 2:16 – “Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law….”
Christ’s faith saved me, my faith simply believes that.

“Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another.” - Romans 12:10
The believer will in truth love all men. There is no room in a regenerate heart for hate, grudges, and bigotry, but there is a special love for those who are called brethren. The word here is ‘love one another as members of the same family, giving precedence and honour to one another’ (Phil. 2:3,4; Gal. 6:10). In making others happy, we find happiness. In giving, we receive. In promoting another’s welfare and honour, we are honoured. A man’s character is not always revealed in what others say about him, but in what he says privately about others. – Henry Mahan
