Sundays 9:00 am Channel 5 CWKYT
It is requested that all children under the age of five stay in our nursery
so there will be no distractions during the preaching of the Gospel.

Precious Saviour, friend of sinners
We, as such, to Thee draw near
Let Thy Spirit dwell within us
With that love that casts out fear.

Matchless Saviour, let us know Thee
As the Lord our righteousness
Cause our hearts to cleave unto Thee
Come, and with Thy presence bless.

Open now Thy precious treasure
Let Thy Word here freely flow
Give to us a gracious measure
‘Tis Thyself we long to know.

Come and claim us as Thy portion
Let us all find rest in Thee
Leave us not to empty notions
We would find our hope in Thee!

(Tune: “Jesus Calls Us” p. 374)

“A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city: and their contentions are like the bars of a castle.” - Proverbs 18:19

Of this I am sure. If salvation is not all of grace, I will not be saved. If any aspect of salvation is dependent upon me doing or not doing something, I will not be in heaven. If what Christ did alone is not enough to make me just before God, I will be in hell. If I am not preserved by irresistible and invincible grace, I will fall away. If God does not look to Christ for everything He requires of me, then I have no hope. But thank God, salvation really is all of grace. Salvation is not dependent upon my doing or not doing something. What Christ did alone makes me just before God. I am preserved by irresistible grace. Everything God requires of me He looks to His Son for. Therefore….saved I must be!

One night at sea the ship’s Captain saw what appeared to be the lights of another ship out in front of him. He had his signalman blink to the other ship, “Change your course.” The reply came back, “Change YOUR course.” The ship’s captain signaled back, “I am a CAPTAIN; change your course.” To which the reply was, “I am a Seaman First Class; change your course.” This infuriated the ship’s Captain, so he signaled, “You fool, change your course; this is a BATTLESHIP!” The seaman replied, “And I said change your course; THIS IS A LIGHTHOUSE!” Human will, rank, and pride have no alternative except to “change your course” when confronted with the unyielding, unchanging Word of God, even if that message comes through a lowly servant! - Copied

Scripture, not logic, is our rule of faith; and not one or two statements taken out of their contexts, but the whole analogy of faith. Error is truth perverted, truth distorted, truth out of proportion. To short-sighted human reason there appears to be a clash between Diving justice and Divine mercy, between God’s sovereignty and man’s responsibility, between law and grace, between faith and good works; but he who is really taught of the Spirit, is enabled to discern their perfect consistency. – A. W. Pink

When grace is preached as the reward for faith and repentance, the Gospel is not preached. Grace is the cause of faith and repentance, not the reward for!

This song verse, “My sin, O the bliss of this glorious thought, my sin, not in part but the whole, is nailed to the cross and I bear it not more, Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord, O my soul” means a lot to me. Let’s look at it. My sin – I own it, I committed it…from that first cry out of my mother’s belly to the writing of this article, it was all sin, for it was and is done all by a sinner, me! O the bliss of this glorious thought – and even though my sin causes me great mental and heart anguish, something glorious was done with it, which causes me to really rejoice! My sin not in part but the whole – I am not a part-time sinner, but a whole-time sinner, from birth to death…and it I am to enter heaven, all of my sin must be put away! Is nailed to the cross –my sins of thought, word, and deed weren’t nailed to the cross…they were placed in my substitute, the God-man Christ, and He Himself was nailed to the cross, suffering the full onslaught and hell of God’s wrath! And I bear it no more – and because sin cannot be two places at once, when my Savior took my sin from me, it became His and is no longer mine, and He was cursed and paid the penalty for that sin, so that I would never have to! Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord, O my soul – and my only reply is this - ALL praise and glory to my precious Lord and Savior, who loved me, and gave Himself for me! He is the most wonderful person I have known, and will ever know.

The sovereignty of God is absolute. To acknowledge this truth is at once to acknowledge that God has foreordained whatsoever comes to pass; that nothing else can come to pass; that predestination is a fact; that God does rule in the kingdoms of men; that all human ties, bonds and relationships are divinely appointed and formed; that salvation rests solely, fully and only in God’s election; that salvation is by God’s grace and His grace alone; and, that no part of man’s salvation is of himself either in origin or execution. Where men get the idea that man’s will is the all-determining factor or moving caused of his salvation is hard to see. Certainly they do not get it from the Bible. – Pastor Scott Richardson

Noah went into the ark BEFORE ONE DROP OF WATER FELL! If he had waited until the rain commenced, he would have been joined by thousands of false converts. True faith believes the promises of God and the warnings of God BEFORE they come to pass. A refuge built or entered during the storm is usually forsaken when the sun shines again. Be wary of those who seek the Lord when their flesh is pained. – Pastor Henry Mahan
