Sundays 9:00 am Channel 5 CWKYT
It is requested that all children under the age of five stay in our nursery
so there will be no distractions during the preaching of the Gospel.

Sovereign grace o’er sin abounding!
Ransomed souls, the tidings swell
‘Tis a deep that knows no sounding
Who its breadth or length can tell?

What from Christ that soul can sever
Bound by everlasting bands?
Once in Him, in Him forever
None can pluck them from His hands.

Heirs of God, joint-heirs with Jesus
Long ere time its race begun
To His name eternal praises
O what wonders Christ hath done!

On such love, my soul shall ponder
Love so great, so rich, so free
Say, while lose in holy wonder
Why, O Lord, such love to me?

(Tune: “Jesus Calls Us” p. 374)

“A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.” - Proverbs 15:1

“Ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness” (Gal. 6:1). “Being spiritual” is a phrase that is used by many people, and many people believe themselves to be spiritual. As to what that means, the answer is always vague, and certainly not spiritual. In the Bible the spiritual man is the man who has a spiritual nature, having been born of the Spirit, and possessing the fruit of the Spirit. Every believer is spiritual. No unbeliever is spiritual. A spiritual man can act like a carnal man the way the Corinthians did (I Cor. 3:1-3). He creates many problems for himself and others when he does. But the spiritual man has a spiritual nature birthed in him by the Spirit of God, which manifests itself by “love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance” (Gal. 5:22). I love what Paul adds to this - “Against such there is no law.” A spiritual man is not governed by law, but by love!

When Paul exhorts children to obey their parents in the Lord, he gives this reason for why they should do it, “For this is right” (Eph. 6:1). This is the right motive behind actions - to do something because it is right. There are things that are wrong. There are things that are right. It is right to believe the Truth. To not do so is wrong. It is right to rely upon Christ only for salvation. To not do so is wrong! It is right to love Christ. It is right to love His people. It is right to love our enemies. To fail to do so is wrong! We will never go wrong by doing that which is right. So simple. So true.

Romans 9:16-18
If you receive the Bible as the Word of God, you have no choice; you must believe the doctrine of election. If you believe the Bible, you have to take it all as the Word of God. You cannot say, “I believe what the Bible teaches about heaven; but I just cannot accept the idea of hell.” You cannot say, “I believe in God; but I simply cannot believe in election.” Election is so much a part of divine truth, that it cannot be expunged from the book of God without completely destroying the Word of God. It is taught in Genesis, in Revelation, and everywhere between. To deny the doctrine of election is to deny the Word of God, reject the religion of Jesus Christ, and to engage in the practice of utter atheism; for the denial of election is the denial of the God of election!
Yes, you read that right. I said the denial of election is a denial of God! It is a denial of His sovereignty. It denies that God has the right to do with His own what He will. Those who deny election deny God’s government of the world and of His right to govern. - Copied

The Almighty Holy God has entered into a covenant of peace with some chosen sinners, and it will never be broken –“Neither shall the covenant of My peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee” (Isaiah 54:10). How can a holy God be at peace with sinful men and women? There’s only one reason – “Having made peace through the blood of His cross” (Col. 1:20).
Christ laid claim to all the sin of all His people on His cross, and God justly shed His Son’s blood, pouring out His wrath on His Son for the sin found in Him. So that now, this elect group of sinners, once enemies of God because of their sin, no longer owns any sin at all, and God is at complete peace with an elect group of holy and righteous men and women – “And you, that were sometime (formerly) alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath He reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in His sight” (Col. 1:21, 22).
I am so thankful salvation is all of God’s grace, so that any sinner believing, relying, and trusting in Christ to be their only hope of salvation, is made to be at complete peace with their Father through the death of His Son. What love our Savior hath bestowed upon us! May He impress it upon our hearts more and more each day to love others as He hath loved us.
