Sundays 7:30 am Channel 27 WKYT
It is requested that all children under the age of five stay in our nursery
so there will be no distractions during the preaching of the Gospel.
HYMN OF THE DAY
Before the throne of God above
I have a strong, a perfect plea
A great High Priest, whose name is love
Who ever lives and pleads for me.
My name is graven on his hands
My name is written on His heart
I know that while in heav’n He stands
No tongue can bid me to depart.
Because the sinless Saviour died
My sinful soul is counted free
For God, the Just, is satisfied
To look on Him and pardon me.
One with Himself, I cannot die
My soul is purchased with His blood
My life is hid with Christ on high
With Christ, my Saviour and my God.
(Tune: “When I Survey” p. 118)

“Debate thy cause with thy neighbour himself; and discover not a secret to another: Lest he that heareth it put thee to shame, and thine infamy turn not away.” - Proverbs 25:9-10
The Lord directed the heart of King Artaxerxes to send Ezra to Jerusalem to rebuild the temple and gave him a large sum of money to do this. During the course of this, Ezra told the King, “The hand of our God is upon all them for good that seek Him: but His power and His wrath is against all them that forsake Him.” No doubt, Ezra told the King many things concerning the greatness of the God of Israel. So when it came time to begin the journey back to Jerusalem, Ezra said he was “Ashamed to require of the King a band of soldiers and horseman to help us.” Because of what he had said about his God helping and protecting them, he realized if he asked the King to help, then all of his talk about God and His protection would be seen to be nothing more than empty words. May our actions prove we really believe what we say we do concerning the Lord.
Faith is not believing that God will do what I want Him to do, or what I think I need Him to do. Faith is believing that God will do what He said He would do. Faith in Christ is an abandonment of our own thoughts and ways, and a complete, unreserved trusting of Him as our Righteousness, Sin-offering and Sovereign. - Pastor Chris Cunningham
DESPISE NOT PROPHESYINGS
I Thessalonians 5:20-21
Do not despise, make light of, nor be indifferent to the message of those who preach and interpret the word of God. I know that many in our day feel almost disgusted with the very word ‘preaching’ because there are so many foolish and ignorant persons giving out worthless sermons from the pulpits of this country. Therefore, let us prove all preaching by the scriptures and hold fast to that which is good! Let us follow the example of the Bereans, “Who received the word preached with all readiness of mind, and SEARCHED THE SCRIPTURES daily to see if these things be so” (Acts 17:11). Some hearers are critical of everything they hear, some people embrace anything they hear; the wise weigh all things they hear by the Word of God (I John 4:1-3). - Pastor Henry Mahan
WOE IS UNTO ANYONE WHO DISREGARDS THE GOSPEL
I say this in closing, “Woe is unto me if I preach not the Gospel” (I Cor 9:16). But, woe is unto you if I preach it and you do not believe it. You may not understand it. It may not fit in with your tradition, with your denominational pattern. And I am sure if it is the Gospel it won’t, because Christ didn’t fit the denominational pattern when He came down here either. He didn’t fit into their religious theology, their tradition, or their mold; and they crucified Him! My message may not fit what your mother taught you, but she wasn’t sent of God to preach the Gospel—I am. If I didn’t believe that, I would quit. Do you see what I am saying? I am saying, Woe is unto you, and woe is unto everybody under the sound of my voice, if I preach the Gospel and you don’t believe it. -Pastor Henry Mahan
The Sovereignty of God is the stumbling block on which thousands fall and perish; and if we go contending with God about His sovereignty it will be our eternal ruin. It is absolutely necessary that we should submit to God as an absolute sovereign, and the sovereign of our souls; as one who may have mercy on whom He will have mercy and harden whom He will. -Jonathan Edwards
If any man ascribes anything of salvation, even the very least thing, to the free will of man, he knows nothing of grace, and he has not learned Jesus Christ rightly. - Martin Luther
