It is requested that all children under the age of five stay in our nursery
so there will be no distractions during the preaching of the Gospel

Lamb of God, Thou now art seated
High upon Thy Father’s throne
All Thy gracious work completed
All Thy mighty vict’ry won.

Every knee in heav’n is bending
To the Lamb for sinners slain
Ev’ry voice and harp is swelling
Worthy is the Lamb to reign.

Thou for us art interceding
Everlasting is Thy love
And a blessed rest preparing
In our Father’s house above.

Soon Thy saints shall rise to meet Thee
With Thee in Thy kingdom reign
Thine the praise and Thine the glory
Lamb of God for sinners slain.

“Seest thou a man diligent in is business? He shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men” - Proverbs 22:29

“If ye then, be not able to do that which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?” (Luke 12:26) I love the way the Lord asks us questions to show us how absurd our way of thinking is! Here is an indisputable fact…we are not able to do that which is least. We are unable to breathe God’s air unless He enables us to. We are unable to provide for ourselves materially. He does that. Regarding salvation, we are certainly unable to do even the least part of it. It is all a work of grace.
If those things are true, why do we worry as if there is something that we can do about them? Our Lord is not endorsing an irresponsible, happy-go-lucky lifestyle. He is simply showing us how ridiculous our worries, fears, and unbelief are! We are unable, but He is able! As a child, I did not worry. I knew my Dad would take care of whatever needed taking care of. How much more should I trust my Heavenly Father. To worry is to say, “I am afraid my Father is not able to take care of me.” How dishonoring to God! How absurd! What pride! Faith is knowing that I am unable and He is able! Anything contrary to those two truths is unbelief!

In Psalms 119:29, David says, “Remove from me the way of lying.” Of course I do not want to be lied to. I especially do not want to hear preachers not telling the truth regarding God and His Gospel. To not tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth is to tell a lie!
I believe what David is primarily referring to is self-deception. When you deceive yourself, you tell yourself a lie and believe it. How I fear deceiving myself; convincing myself of something that really is not true, and making myself believe I have experienced something that I really have not experienced. Oh, to be honest before God and honest with myself! It is said of the blessed man, “Blessed is the man….in whose spirit there is no guile.” It is an honest assessment of self that drives a man to Christ.

What was the Lord’s intention in His death? Was His intention to save all of Adam’s race? If it was, He failed miserably. Was His intent to make salvation available if we do our part? That would not help us at all! We cannot do our part! His intent was to save the elect! “And this is the will of Him that sent Me, that of all which He hath given Me, I should lose nothing, but raise it up again at the last day.” (John 6:39) We can be assured of this…whatever the Son of God intended to do, that is precisely what He did. He came with the intention of saving His people from their sins. “Thou shalt call His name Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins.” And that is precisely what He did! When He said, “It is finished,” what He intended to do was done!

Pray for your brothers and sisters in Christ, by name. Yes, that will take time, but it will be time well spent – for “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much” (James 5:16). God will make it a blessing to you, and it will definitely be a blessing for them.
We spend way too much time in fruitless activities, and there’s no need to list them, you know what they are. The time is short, they day of salvation is at hand….David said, “So teach us to number our days that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom” (Psalm 90:12). Our time on earth is short, may God give us grace to use it wisely in spending time in prayer for your spiritual family, your brothers and sisters in Christ.

“And of His fullness have all we received.” (John 1:16) This text informs us that there is a fullness in Christ. There is a fullness of ESSENTIAL DEITY, for In Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead. There is a fullness of PEFECT MANHOOD, for He was made flesh and dwelt among us. There is a fullness of RIGHTEOUSNESS, for in Him there was no sin. There is a fullness of ATONING EFFICACY, for His blood cleanses from all sin. There is a fullness of PREVALANCE IN PRAYER, for He is able to save to the uttermost all that come to God by Him. There is a fullness of VICTORY IN HIS DEATH, for He destroyed him that had the power of death. There is a fullness of LIFE IN HIS RESURRECTION; because He lives, we shall live. There is a fullness at ALL times, through ALL times, and for ALL time.
“I’m a poor sinner and nothing at all,
But Jesus Christ is my all in all.” - C. H. Spurgeon
