Sundays 7:30 am Channel 27 WKYT
It is requested that all children under the age of five stay in our nursery
so there will be no distractions during the preaching of the Gospel.

Now in a song of grateful praise
To Christ, my Lord, my voice I’ll raise
With all the saints I’ll join to tell
My Jesus has done all things well.

How sov’reign, wonderful, and free
Has been His love to sinful me
He plucked me from the jaws of hell
My Jesus has done all things well.

I spurned His grace, I broke His laws
And yet He undertook my cause
To save me though I did rebel
My Jesus has done all things well.

Thou many a fiery, flaming dart
The Temper leveled at my heart
With this I all his rage repel
My Jesus has done all things well.

And when to that bright world I rise
To join the anthem in the skies
Above the rest the more shall swell
My Jesus has done all things well.

(Tune: “Jesus, And Shall It Ever Be?” p. 400)

“Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding.” - Proverbs 17:28

When the children of Israel grew weary of the manna and desired flesh to eat, “ He gave them their request: but sent leanness into their soul” (Psalm 106:15). Leanness of soul is seen in our attitude toward worship. We can absent ourselves from the preaching of the Gospel without feeling a loss to our souls. It becomes hard to fit the public worship into life’s busy schedule. When the primacy of public worship becomes lessened in our lives, private worship is also lessened. Prayer and Bible reading become duties that make us feel guilty for our deficiencies in them, rather than joy. If we have this leanness of soul, we have left our first love. We are accurate, but empty. What should we do? The Lord said to the church at Ephesus who had left their first love, “Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent” (Revelation 2:5).

In a very short time for some of us, not very long for any of us, and it could be today for all of us.....we are going to be called to stand before God, our sovereign Creator and Holy Judge! In that solemn hour those things which most men hold closest to their hearts will be of no importance whatsoever.
In that hour a thousand dollar bill will be as a mere piece of scrap paper. In that solemn hour of judgment it will not matter whether one is black or white, educated or uneducated, rich or poor, president or prisoner, king or slave. Whether one is accepted or rejected of God and spends eternity in heaven or hell, that will be the only thing that matters; and that hinges upon one thing, and one thing only…What one thinks of God’s Son, the Lord Jesus. What do YOU think of the Lord Jesus Christ? What is HE to YOU? - Pastor Maurice Montgomery

I am often asked, “Which translation of the Bible do you recommend?” My response is always the same, “Stick with the King James Version. God has given us His Word in our language; and you will not find a better English translation than the King James.”
Isn’t it strange that people are always seeking a “more readable”, “more understandable”, “more modern”, translation of the Bible? I have no idea how many translations have been published in the last forty years, each claiming to be an “improvement”. Yet, not one has been easier to read, more understandable, or offered an improvement.
The problem is not that people do not understand the language of the Bible. The problem is that they do; and they don’t like it. So preachers and religious leaders have done their best to come up with a translation of the Bible that makes God look weak and man look good, a translation that makes redemption accomplished look like redemption attempted, and makes God’s operations of grace appear to be God’s offers of grace. Sinners do not need a new translation. They need the new birth. – Pastor Don Fortner

Noah went into the ark BEFORE ONE DROP OF WATER FELL! If he had waited until the rain commenced, he would have been joined by thousands of false convert. True faith believes the promises of God and the warnings of God BEFORE they come to pass. A refuge built or entered during the storm is usually forsaken when the sun shines. Be wary of those who seek the Lord when their flesh is pained.

1. My subject is always the Lord Jesus.
2. My proof of truth is the written Word of God.
3. My method is always “Preach the Word and leave the results, whatever they may be, to our Lord!” - A. D. Muse

All mighty error in theology springs from two sources: attempts to make Almighty God less than He is, or attempts to make puny man more than he is. – Pastor Henry Mahan
